The business shifted its business to North Bundaberg, forming the Bundaberg Foundry Company Limited and offered shares to the public, marking a significant turning point.
The foundry faced adversity when a flood struck Bundaberg, causing water to inundate its facilities. However, the company's resilience shone through.
A devastating fire broke out in the pattern shop causing extensive damage to the moulding shop and engine room. Yet, the Foundry endured and rebuilt.
During World War II, the Foundry played a crucial role by manufacturing shell cases and machinery, contributing to the war effort.
Bundaberg Sugar purchases the foundry to see its holistic vision of vertical integration with an advanced engineering and manufacturing operation to support the business.
Bundaberg acquires the Walkers sugar business, a combination of the two world leaders in milling technology.
